Eduardo, the voice of Subterranea, feels like their last release "Soledad Brother" was more of a concept album, experimental in nature, and the band is ready to try something different again. Certainly their perfomance at Dos97 at the end of June gave strong suggestions on a rockier, harder edge in their live performance. Mexadelic joined Subterrenea in their "underground" hideaway after the gig to enjoy the band jamming with friends. The shear quality and versatility of musicianship in the group was the striking observation from the night.
At La PiraNa this Saturday there is the promise of some surprises. The band will be joined by many friends in a show of support for their "focus on the artistic side of self-expression and honesty". Maybe the revolution on Mexican soil they were hoping to start has already begun.....
